Second Life and more...Although Second Life or Entropia e.g. do not fit into the traditional role of web meeting or web conference products the border seems to diminish - see also Mingleverse under Other Products. Second LifeSecond Life has been along for quite some time and many books have been written about it. Even thouhg Second Life is not a typical web meeting product it can be quite interesting for komplex products as told to me by some banking friends. Personally I experienced an impressive meeting with a large number of people set up by some friends from the Czech Republic. The topic was usinf web meetings for eLearning and was accompanied by different presentations using PowerPoint or some other presentation tools. EntropiaEntropia is also an Avatar based product somewhat similar to Second Life but with some different characteristics: focus is on business and the use of real money. It still seems to be in the build up phase (as of January 2010) but available for test. Also this product is being looked at by some banking friends to be used for consulting purposes of complex banking products.
