Other Web Meeting ProductsDue to increasingly improved Internet connections and available bandwidth, new software technologies and the wish to reduce travel and travel cost more and more web meetings products are being introduced on the market. It is almost impossible to keep up with them all and their functionality but here is a list of some of the most popular ones I believe. When registering to Mingleverse you create your own Avatar and Profile and you are ready to go. According to the Mingleverse Web site the system is still in Beta (as of January 27, 2010). For communication there is an option to choose the preferred connection protocol (TCP, Pear, etc). Webex Webex is a 'classical' web meeting service initially using telephones for the audio connection and is available in many languages. Webex was acquired by Cisco System some time ago. Webex is also offering a limited time test possibility. Adobe ConnectAdobe Connect is based on the MacroMedia Breeze product. Macromedia was acquired by Adobe Systems some time ago. Adobe also offers a limited time test possibility. GoToMeetingGoToMeeting is supporting both PCs and Mac and offers limited time testing. Different products are available for different kind of meetings, number of participants and company sizes.Telephone orVoIP service available. DimDimDimDim is a relatively new web meeting provider based on OpenSource.You can try DimDim also for free. DimDim is also offering various versions like Free, Pro and Enterprise.Various integration modules available. NetViewerRemote control of computers and HelpDeck functionality was initially an important function but is now offering general purpuse web meetings. Test version available. NetViewer is a German product. GenesysTest version available. Microsoft Outlook® Integration. The possibilty to buy web meeting service as 'pay-per-minute' you use the service. ElluminateElluminate seems to be specialized for eLearning and collaboration and offers eome special features like Break-Out rooms which allows groups of people to share a vritual room. Test verion for up to 3 participants is available. Various features to assit the web meetings are available. WebConferenceWebConference offers different types of web meeting services depending on the number of participants. Aslo offering telephone confercing services. The possibility of custom branding is another feature of WebConference. YUGMAYUGMa offers a free test version and supports Windiws, Mac and Linux. Different versions available depending on the number of participants. YUGMA also offers a kind of Skype integration. Supports windows and Mac and offers free test version. InstantPresenterFree limited time trial version. Various versions available for meeting or video.
