Web Conferencing

 

Web conferences are easy to use and follows the same process as when you are setting up a normal meeting. You have to reserve a meeting room, invite participants, prepare documents or presentations to be used during the meeting etc. However, web meetings have got some advantages over normal meetings - you can record a meeting and play it at a later time, you are not dependent on the location of the participants, you can chat with participants without disturbing the meeting, you can allow participants to upload documents or presentations to be shared during the meeting or you may allow participants to write text or draw pictures interactively. You may even upload and show video clips during the meeting.

 

If participants arrive to early to a web meeting you may decide to let them wait in a lobby. The lobby could be prepared with a presentation, running a picture show or show a video clip for example.  

 

If you subscribe to a meeting room for a longer period of time you may also want to either set up your own address book or you may decide to import an existing addess book to the web meeting services.
